Bouncy Baby

So, this is how Cameron lets me know he is up from his nap.  I hear a boing, boing, boing and when I open the door he is bouncing away.  He is so happy and full of energy, I wish I felt like that when I got up.  You all know I am NOT a morning person.  I much prefer late quiet nights.  Anyway, this day I tried to catch him in action.  I'll have to try again and take the bumper out first.  Just thought I would share this cute phase.

The Christmas Boxes

This was the first day opening boxes this year, and Cameron's first time.  It was so cute how he shared with his brothers.  

Today the boys got this Christmas book.  When they sat down to read it together I thought they looked precious.  We love the Olivia books!  

So we are counting down the days until we get to come and visit--Yea!  (Except, not yea for the plane ride.) 

Photo Booth

The boys love to play around with Photo Booth on my computer.  Tonight I checked and they had taken 531 pictures of themselves playing around.  As I looked through them I thought some were pretty cute or pretty funny so I made a collage.  

They are getting quite creative.  They took tons of their superman trick which is that they jump and try to be in the air when the camera goes off.  The one in the upper right corner was a successful attempt at that.  I can't believe I am posting a picture of myself like that, but I reminded myself of Edna Mode from Incredibles.  Hope you get a chuckle from these!

mmmm...pie

We had a nice Thanksgiving feast with our friends the Frosts and the Kotters. Cameron was enjoying some pumpkin pie with his pile of whipped cream. (Thanks Dad!) But, I think he reached his limit of how much whipped cream he could handle. I thought it was all going to come back up.

I took my camera but I forgot to get it out until we were eating pie, and then I only took a couple of pictures. I guess I was enjoying the day. I have a lot to be thankful for! Good friends and food, great families, our home, our country, my four fantastic boys and my kind husband!

Harpers Ferry Again

Oops! I accidently posted before I got a chance to write anything. On Thursday Aaron, Andrea and I (and the little boys) went to a new town and I fell in love. It is a beautiful and cool little town with so many neat buildings, colors, and details. We had fun walking around, taking pictures, enjoying being outside, and we even about got blasted away by two trains. I'll have to post more pictures later. I'll definitely have to go back with Matt next time. I might want to pack my own lunch next time though, it can be difficult to get something to eat there, unless you have plenty of time and cash. We got a good taste of some West Virginia customer service. But, I loved the city so much that I didn't care that I had to eat trail mix for lunch.

Halloween

I love Halloween! We had a great day getting fun food ready for dinner and looking forward to trick or treating. The boys already had plenty of candy from our ward Trunk or Treat but they like going out in our neighborhood. Matt and Aaron took the kids out while RuLynn, Andrea and I finished making the witch fingers and hairy toes. Yum! We also had goblin tongues, witches brew, dinner in a pumpkin, and creepy peepers. The boys all looked SO cute, especially the little ones. The older boys really got into their characters. We loved having visitors too! It was nice to have Andrea there to take some pictures and I appreciated RuLynn helping with keep up with the dishes for the past couple of weeks. Nate was able to go back to school this week which has been great. Thanks for all of your prayers and support!

Cox Farm

We made our annual trip to Cox Farm with Nana. It was HOT beautiful fall day. The boys loved the dinosaur slide the most-I did too-but I didn't take any pictures there. The hayride is always fun. Sam wasn't sure if he wanted to go because he remembered that aliens come out at one point and last year one of them grabbed Sam and scared him pretty bad. After we told him that they were farmers dressed up he seemed ok, but he still wouldn't sit near the end. Nate loves the rope swing where you land in a big bin of foam but I wouldn't let him do it this year because of his leg. He got over being mad at me and had a great day too. Spencer liked petting the baby calf. Cameron loved all the animals and kept trying to pet the goat's rear ends.

Sunday Drive

The weather here is finally starting to feel a little like fall. We drove to the Shenandoah Mountains yesterday to enjoy the fall leaves. Most everything was still green but it was beautiful anyway. We had a picnic and the boys had fun walking on the rock walls, finding sticks, and throwing rocks. Good boy stuff. I was trying to practice shooting with backlight. It was nice to be up in some mountains again (hills rather) and I kept thinking of times growing up when we would drive up the canyons to see the leaves, have picnics, and take family pictures. Something about fall makes me miss my family. We love you all!!!

Back to School Again

So, here are the boys on their first day of school. Nate is in fourth grade, Spencer in first grade, and Sam is in preschool in the Blue Bears class. They are all doing great and we love their teachers. Nate is going back to school again on Monday and so we are happy about that. Thanks for all of your love and prayers!!! I couldn't leave Cam out, so here is one of him having a great time in a puddle on the sidelines of a soccer game.

3's a Crowd

Well, three times is definitely too many times to go to the Emergency Room in about a month. I spent another night in the ER, but this time with Nathan. He will be ok but he is sure in a lot of pain with shingles. I don't like that name, it creeps me out for some reason. He kept saying his leg hurt but we couldn't see anything wrong. Then he started getting a rash. Sunday was our Primary Program and he was quite a little trooper. He stayed up on the stand (although he was making some pain filled expressions) and said his part, and then he walked off and out into the hall. Matt took him home and then later we decided to take him to the doctor. The nurse on the phone told me to go to an urgent care in Springfield which is near where we used to live. So we drove about 50 minutes only to find out that there is not an urgent care there. We headed for home and I planned to take him to the pediatrician today, but then I changed my mind and we went to the hospital where I had Cameron instead. Sooooo, I don't want to see another ER for a loooong time! I guess I should just be grateful that I can take my kids (or Matt) to the doctor when I need to.
