Big Boat

One day we drove to Norfolk and saw this battleship.  We have never been that close to a big ship like that and we thought it was Awesome!  I loved how narrow the nose was, it was almost unreal.  Unfortunately we went on a Monday, and it is closed on Monday (I even knew that but forgot until we got there--argh!) so we weren't able to go on board.  We walked along the dock and watched jellyfish in the water and so it was still fun.  Then we ate at Joe's Crab Shack and headed up to go to Busch Gardens for the evening.  It was our first time there and it was beautiful.  It wasn't crowded because it had just rained and so we got lots of rides in without too much waiting.

Yorktown

Over Spring Break we spent a week in Williamsburg with Mom and Ennis. The first place we visited was the Yorktown Battlefield and historic Yorktown. Jaime and Ryan came down as well and we all had a great day! The boys really like learning about the different battles and they especially like trying to reenact them. Don't they look cute in their tri-corn hats?

Dirty Feet + Fresh Peas = Heaven

Had to get past this blogging slump somehow, so I'm just reporting on our little garden. We have been snacking on peas this week. I haven't had fresh peas like that for YEARS! Spencer helped me grow them for scouts. The plants are huge, but frankly I thought there would be more pea pods on them. Probably because of all the rain. Can't wait for the tomatoes now!
