Cam's first season---FINALLY

Apples and Honey

Apple picking sounded like a nice fall activity. The farms around here are so pretty. Too bad, because of the hot weather lately, the apples ripened early. We bought some apples, but we picked them out of an apple crate instead of a tree. It was still nice. Ru even bought us some honey and fresh cider to take home.

Out on the Town

This year we have had the benefit of spending time just with Cameron on the Mondays Matt has off.  We love being able to talk to him and give him lots of attention.  After going places with four in tow, it is so easy to just take one around.  This was a great day out.  We stopped at Matt's favorite store for a pick up.  Then ate lunch at Potbelly's.  Then went to Bull Run park and played on the playground.

Big Boy

Cam has grown up in so many ways this fall. We went to the dentist in August and talked about turning in his binkies for the babies that didn't have any. He LOVED his bees, and I loved his bee because he would nap so easily. So, I wasn't quite ready to get rid of it. Yes, I know he was over three years old. He really likes our dentist and within a week he bit the ends off all his binkies and was done.

Then when we went to the beach, Matt worked with him going on the toilet and when we came home he was potty trained. Of course we've had some accidents, but he was fantastic.

We put the training wheels back on the little bike and he has been cruising around until I ran over it two weeks ago. Oooops!

I found a darling bed on Craig's List, so we took down his crib and he sleeps in a BIG BOY bed now. He was bubbling with excitement to show his Dad when he got home from work.

We've all had a turn at being sick too.

We love our Cameron!!!

More Monkies

Sunday morning I noticed Cam and Karston both had on Monkey PJ's (Cam calls them his Monkey Soup) so I thought it would be cute to take their picture jumping on the couch. I worried this would lead to trouble, but Cam has not tried to jump on the couch since. I'm the one who should stay off the furniture. This is when I stood on the chair and fell over backwards. Stupid! Anyway... the point of this post is to show these cute monkeys having fun.





Speakiing of monkies...One of Cam's favorite books is Hand Hand Fingers Thumb.  I love reading that to him because every time at the same part, on the same page, (The picture with millions of monkies and little one is one the big monkey's shoulders.)  he points and says "That's me."  It cracks me up.
